Day 3:
At 7:30 AM, you will be received by our guide at Khulna Jailkhana Ghat and taken by boat. The boat will travel along the Rupsha and Pashur rivers, passing Khulna Shipyard, Rupsha Bridge, Rampal Thermal Power Plant, and Mongla Port, heading towards Andhar Manik. After lunch, you will disembark at the "Andhar Manik Eco-Tourism Center." We will follow the designated foot trail in an organized manner, with a songman leading the way. Crossing a freshwater pond, you will enter a dense forest filled with mangrove plants rich in breathing roots. The forest mainly consists of Sundari, Golpata, and Gewa trees. You will find numerous deer footprints, and if quiet, you might spot a herd of deer. Flocks of crabs will scurry away at the sound of your footsteps. After walking about 1 mile, you will rest at a wooden rest house built over a pond, then return to the boat. On the boat, you will have an afternoon snack. The boat will then proceed to the "Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary" located at the estuary.
Early in the morning, after waking up, we will enjoy canal cruising and the forest's silence in a native boat. From there, we will go through Tiger Tree bushes, deer grazing fields, and deep forest to Jamtola Sea Beach, about 2.5 km away. Here, you can enjoy the meeting point of Bangladesh’s two prides: the "Sundarbans" and the "Bay of Bengal." Then, after having breakfast on the boat, we will head towards Tiger Tila (Tiger Hill). Passing through muddy, breathing-root forests and dense Goran forests, you will get close views of deer herds. Afterwards, the boat will go to Hiron Point or "Kochikhali." Walking through soft and mossy forests inside Hiron Point or Kochikhali, you will see deer running away as soon as they notice you, and you will understand why this place is called the tiger’s dining area. After this eerie experience, we will return to the boat. Then, the boat will take us to Dubla Char or Dim’er Char, where we will stay on a beautiful sea beach until evening. After that, we will return to the boat, which will head towards Karamjol.
Karamjol is home to Bangladesh’s only crocodile breeding center in saltwater. Here you will find small and large crocodiles, as well as almost extinct species of turtles.
