Tour Planning : MB Jolforing Cruise
Day 1
At 7:30 AM, our guide will receive you from Khulna Jailkhana Ghat and escort you to the ship. The journey begins along the Rupsha and Pashur rivers, passing by Khulna Shipyard, Rupsha Bridge, Rampal Power Plant, and the Mongla Port, as the ship heads towards Harbaria.
After lunch onboard, we will disembark to visit the Harbaria Eco-Tourism Center. Walking in an organized line with guides in front and behind, we will follow a designated foot trail. Crossing a freshwater pond, we’ll enter the deep forest surrounded by dense mangrove vegetation. You'll see species like Sundari, Golpata, and Gewa. If quiet enough, you might spot herds of deer and see crab colonies rushing to hide at the sound of footsteps.
After exploring approximately one mile of trail, we’ll rest at the wooden rest house built over the pond before returning to the ship. Evening snacks will be served on board.
The ship will then sail towards Kotka Wildlife Sanctuary, located near the Bay of Bengal.
Early in the morning, we’ll go for a canal cruise in small local boats, enjoying the silence and raw beauty of the forest. From there, we’ll begin a trek through tiger-infested bushland, deer-grazing fields, and dense jungle, heading about 2.5 kilometers to Badamtala Sea Beach—a breathtaking spot where the Sundarbans and the Bay of Bengal meet.
After returning to the ship and having breakfast, we’ll continue on to Tiger Tila (Tiger Hill). The trail passes through muddy paths, thick breathing roots, and eerie Garjan trees. Herds of deer are often seen up close along the way.
Next, we return to the ship, which will now head towards Hiron Point, also known as Kochikhali.
At Kochikhali, we’ll walk through a spine-chilling grassland trail within a spooky forest. Deer will raise their heads and flee at your sight, making it clear why this area is often referred to as the tiger’s dining room.
From there, we return to the ship and set sail for Dubla Char, also known as Dimer Char. You’ll enjoy your time at the serene beach until evening.
Afterward, we return to the ship, which then sails for Karamjal.
In the morning, we’ll visit Karamjal, home to Bangladesh’s only saltwater crocodile breeding center. You’ll see crocodiles of all sizes, endangered turtles, mischievous monkeys, and even have the chance to feed deer by hand.
Finally, we return to the ship and begin the journey back towards Khulna or Mongla.
